New York Mets Season Review – Part 1, Infield

Intro to discuss the upcoming additions to Bloggin Hood, including a new audio series. You’ll never guess what it might be.
General review of the Mets season, followed by a somewhat detailed review of the primary infielders on the year. The cut off, with one exception, was at least 100 plate appearances. Several players who you might expect in the infield review will be covered in the outfield episode as I went off of where players made their most appearances in the field instead of their natural position.

Wilson Ramos (C) – 524 Plate Appearances, .288/.351/.416, 14 HRs, 73 RBIs, 52 Runs, 19 Doubles, 1 SB (!), 44 Walks, 69 Ks, 7 Errors, threw out 15% of runners on 111 attempts.

Robinson Cano (2B)– 423 Plate Appearances, .256/.307.428, 13 HRs, 39 RBIs, 46 Runs, 28 Doubles, 0 SB, 25 Walks, 69 Strikeouts, 5 errors in 358 chances (.986).

Adeiny Hechavarria (Jerk) – 151 Plate Appearances, .204/.252/.359, 5 HR, 18 RBIs, 20 Runs, 3 SB (1 Caught), 8 Walks, 33 Strikeouts, one needless shot at the Mets when he joined the Braves.  5 Errors (2 at 2B, 3 at SS) in 179 chances.

Amed Rosario (SS)– 655 Plate Appearances, .287/.323/432. 15 HR, 72 RBIs, 75 Runs, 30 Doubles, 7 Triples, 19 SB (10 Caught Stealings), 31 Walks, 124 Ks, 17 Erros in 548 Chances (.969%). 7 errors from May 8th on.

Todd Frazier (3B) – 499 Plate Appearances, .251/.329/.443, 21 HR, 57 RBIs, 63 Runs, 22 Doubles, 1 Triple, 1 SB (2 Caught), 40 Walks, 106 Ks, 12 Errors in 347 chances

Jed Lowrie (IR List)– 8 Plate appearances, no hits, 1 walk, $10 Million Earned.
